Carol is a native of Dayton, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from St. Leo University in St. Leo, Florida.

Her professional background includes; former Licensed Social Worker, former Grade School Teacher, Aide to former Congressman Tony P. Hall, Aide to former Ohio State Senator Fred Strahorn, a Congressional Liaison Representative at the United States Air Force Academy – Pentagon, Washington, DC, and Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, Montgomery County, Ohio.

She is a veteran of the United States Air Force and being president at Prewitt Consulting LLC (a firm specializing in civility training, etiquette, and business protocol).

She has received several awards and acknowledgments for her civic and professional accomplishments and contributions to include the Department of the Air Force Meritorious Civilian Service Award; Amer Court No. 65 Daughters Isis Excellence in Leadership Honoree; Mary Scott Legacy Award Honoree; The Presidents Club of Dayton Outstanding Community Service Award; Toastmaster of the Year Award; Phenomenal Woman Honoree, Fellowship Christian Ministries; WiBN 2013 Top 25 Women to Watch Honoree; and Shiloh Church Outstanding Community Service Honoree.
